Q: What is celiac disease?
A: Instead of trying to re-invent the wheel, we will direct you to the CSA website, which is loaded with information about celiac disease, the gluten-free diet, and tons more. We will keep our site more specifically about our local chapter. If you have additional questions please don't hesitate to contact us!
Q: Does Boulder County Celiacs have regular meetings?

Q: How can I join the email list?
A: It's easy to sign up by using the box at the bottom of this page to add your e-mail to our mailing list (watch your e-mail box for a confirmation e-mail and link to confirm your sign-up).
Q: I am on the e-mail list but I don't get the e-mails, why?
A: Please check with the Group Co-Chair to make sure that we have the correct e-mail address for you. We use an e-mail program that automatically deletes bounced e-mail addresses, so if your e-mail box was full when we tried to e-mail you, the program has deleted your e-mail address to help us try to maintain current records. This program allows us to e-mail several hundred people with one click and tries to prevent our e-mails from being sent to your SPAM folder. Please add BoulderCountyCeliacs@yahoo.com to your address book so you will get the group e-mails. That is the return e-mail address that will appear when we send an e-mail. You can also reply to this address, and it goes directly to the Group Co-Chair (and is NOT sent to all group members).
Q: Is Boulder County Celiacs affiliated with a national celiac support group?
A: Boulder County Celiacs is a CSA chapter, # 138.
Q: What is CSA?
A: CSA is the Celiac Sprue Association. It is a national group that works for celiac research, fair laws for food labeling, and educating the public about the gluten-free diet. They are our parent group.
Q: Are there membership dues or fees to join Boulder County Celiacs?
A: Membership dues are $20.00 per household. The membership year runs from Jan 1- Dec 31. For more information about membership Click Here!
Q: What does membership include?
A: Membership dues pay for the website, e-mail program, meeting locations, supplies, the quarterly newsletter, and other group expenses. Members also get a membership card that is good for discounts at various businesses.
Q: What happens if I join BCC in the middle of the year? Is there a pro-rated price?
A: No, the price is still the same. This helps our volunteer Treasurer and Group Chair maintain records easily. There may be a discount offered at some events, depending on the financial need of the group at the time. Remember, we collect dues to be able to offer services, and we want to continue to be able to do that :)
Q: Where is the membership form?
A: Download the membership form. Print it out and mail it to the mailbox listed on the form along with a check for the membership dues. You can also bring it to an event with your dues.

Q: How can I advertise in the newsletter? What about on the website?
A: If you are interested in supporting a newsletter please email us at BoulderCountyCeliacs @ yahoo.com We request a donation of $25.00 for 1/4 page, $50.00 for 1/2 page (includes website space too), and $100.00 for a full page (includes website space too). We would like to limit this service to gluten-free friendly business or those who are somehow connected to the celiac community. This donation/sponsorship contributes to the cost of copies, postage, etc, and we do not "profit" from these donations, as we are a non-profit group. Every dollar collected goes to group functions.
